Promotion of development means to take current knowledge from science, investigation and experience of live, as well as pioneer models as a starting point, to go ahead from this base. The status quo of the pedagogical debate shows that cultural education is essential, even when it comes to enabling a basic training in developing societies. Regarding the self- conception that children have a natural approach to art and that civilization can grow with developing societies, the posture of Art for Good developed.

To promote the artful expression of children on a worldwide scale, as well as a charitable purpose are in the foreground. Thereby we follow the aim of constant development and education of all implicated, which finds its´ expression through intercultural exchange. In close collaboration wit the organizations art projects which are introduced here over are promoted.

Competent partners
The mediation work is anchored in the mission statement of the association. Experts for art, education and mediation are involved on an early stage with each exhibition- and project planning.

Revenue wished
With each project there is a selected Non Profit Organization in center, which should be supported. The revenue of the emission goes completely and exclusively as donation back to the correspondent organization. Art for Good likes in arrangement with the supporting organization and the children to aid regarding the most urgent necessities. Either the money goes directly to a project for the children or it supports the whole infrastructure of the organization. The purchaser and interested people are informed in detail about the donation purpose in relation to the current event.

Kids and artists work out individually and as a group cultural capital:

  • Incorporated cultural capital (socialization of family, knowledge, aesthetics, behavior)
  • Objectified cultural capital (cultural goods like paintings, sculptures etc.) concrete procedure
  • With children and adolescents from traumatized regions thematical art processes are executed focused on painting and drawing.
  • The created images are shown in exhibitions.
  • Thereby we create a possibility for children and adolescents to be introduced to an transnational cultural interchange.
  • Workshops in the frame of such an exhibition provide space for consideration, reflection and finally to painting oneself.

Awareness and promotion

  • Therefore the projects are focused on children and adolescents, so that the kids are targeted as soon as possible in their curriculum. Thereby they shall make their own experiences with different ways of expressiong oneself. A part of that we like to inspire the adults. Their tolerance and support finally is essential for the children.
  • Discovery of the individual abilities
  • Experiencing appreciation and linking of different talents and therefore gain trust in oneself and in the whole of live.
  • Sensitization for political, cultural and social world affairs.
  • Generating donations trough the sale of cultural capital, art mediation. Hence making possible school education for children from developing societies.
  • Rethinking and sensitizing of parents regarding the individual needs and promotion of the child.
  • Collaboration only takes place when one of the members of the board is in personal contact with the responsible.
  • The Organization to be supported employs the promotion, education and shelter of the child.
  • The organization to be supported is independent and private.
  • The organization to be supported is religiously neutral and considers equality of gender.
  • Transparency is ensured. There is an official follow up inform after every project how donations were spend.
  • The organizations to support are listed under collaboration.
  • Art for Good prefers organizations from traumatic regions.
  • Art for Good encounters the organization before collaborating in situ. This way the association can act in direct interchange with the children.
  • Art for good takes for granted that the children make art and will be supported and guided by experts.
  • The children participate freely in the projects.
  • The children are informed about the exhibition of their art work and agree.
  • Art for good reject any form of child labor. The following guidelines therefore must be followed strictly: The art works is given to Art for Good for a fixed amount, whit which the children get an immediate compensation. The compensation has to be paid immediately and must fit the wishes and necessities of the children. This can be a new acquisition for the organization or an extra activity (like for example visiting a cinema).
  • The revenue of the sales of the exhibited pictures will be donated fully to the organization, to further on support the children.

What is more exiting for a kid as encountering others of same age of a foreign culture? With their lust of exploring and with their variety of ideas they enter rapidly in the no verbal communication of art. Trough the art projects which span over the whole globe authentic stories are created, which are written by the kids themselves. The foreign stays different and is a part of oneself, this way the co-existences of different cultures are lived and not alienation and racism.
